How to use Ireland Payslip Generator

Irish payslip with Revenue-aligned lines.

What you get

  • Editable employer, employee, and pay period fields
  • Statutory deduction lines driven by versioned tax tables where applicable
  • Live preview matches the downloaded PDF
  • Local draft recovery on the same browser

Limitations

  • Not payroll software — no STP, RTI, or auto-filing
  • Year-to-date blocks may be simplified or deferred on some tools
  • Does not replace advice from a registered tax agent
  • Auto PAYE is optional; manual PAYE entry is the default — verify USC bands against Revenue.ie.

Steps

  1. 1

    Open the form

Fields are grouped in sections. Required items are marked; optional blocks can stay empty.

  2. 2

Use demo data as a starting point or clear fields for your own business. Calculations update as you type.

  3. 3

  4. 4

Fix any validation errors, then download. Your file is built locally — no email signup required.

Ireland payslips with manual PAYE default

Revenue expects employers to operate PAYE, USC, and PRSI correctly. This payslip layout defaults to manual tax lines so payroll bureaus can drop in exact figures, while optional automatic mode uses versioned credits and cut-offs when you trust the config for your tax year.

PRSI class and USC bands changed in recent budgets—read effective dates in config before enabling auto mode for October pay runs.

Worked example: monthly €3,500 gross

Gross €3,500.00 monthly might show PAYE €420.00, USC €175.00, employee PRSI €140.00 as illustrative manual entries, net €2,765.00. Employer PRSI at reduced rates for certain classes might show €385.00 in employer-only rows.

Tax credits and cut-off points materially change PAYE—automatic mode needs the employee’s Revenue certificate values if you use it. When unsure, type bureau figures and leave auto off.

USC band conflicts and verification

USC rate bands have seen mid-year corrections in public discourse. Our config cites Revenue sources with accessed_at metadata; verify against revenue.ie before telling staff their net pay is final.

Benefits in kind and share schemes are not modelled in v1—add manual adjustment lines with clear labels.

Bureau workflow and JSON

Import last month’s JSON to retain employer registration and department names while updating amounts. Payslips print cleanly in light palette even if the site is in dark mode.

Employees may need payslips for mortgage applications—ensure pay period dates align with bank credits.

Not a Revenue form

The PDF is unofficial. It does not replace ROS payroll submissions or year-end PPSN reporting obligations.

Do not collect PPS numbers in shared demos; use placeholders until you are on a secure device.
